2015 Sauvignon Blanc, Estate Vineyard
Exuberant aromas of lemon grass, nectarine and Meyer lemon zest burst from the glass. The round, full and vibrant palate is comprised of pineapple, stone fruit and mandarin with hints of candied lemon peel, underlined by persistent wet-stone minerality. Maintaining both bright mid-palate acidity and a rich mouthfeel, this quenching Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect complement for warm weather fare such as stone fruit salads, ceviche and grilled scallops.

Located in the cool, southern end of Sonoma Valley, Bartholomew Park Winery sits on the site where Hungarian nobleman Agoston Haraszthy planted the first vinifera grapevines in the United States. The three acres of the estate Sauvignon Blanc are split into two small blocks which are meticulously and organically hand-farmed. The blocks are harvested at three ripeness levels to capture the multitude of flavors layered within our estate grown fruit.
The grapes were hand-harvested in the cool morning hours and whole-cluster pressed. 90% of the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at a cool temperature and 10% in lightly toasted new and neutral barrels to add texture and roundness. Each of these techniques aided in achieving freshness and forward fruit quality.
